International women’s day is celebrated every year on 8th March. In order to commemorate this day, Megha’s Beauty Atelier celebrated this day in the heart of Bahria Town Karachi with a different perspective to focus on daughters skill buliding and nurturing sons in a way to produce excellent brothers, husbands and fathers. In lieu to support this day, a number of celebrities attended the event. Some names to add were Faisal Qazi, Shaista Marghoob, Chef Fatima Sheraz etc.
The program was very well organised in the Bahria town Precienct 19 shopping gallery where Megha’s Beauty Atelier is situated. The audience took the liberty to share their views about how usually Pakistani women start their career in the society and what hardships they’ve faced.
The program started with the recitation of Holy Quran by a minor Zarwa Sami, who in her beautiful voice mesmerised the audience.
Firstly, Ms Megha, owner and CEO of Megha’s Beauty Atelier shared her views and her story of building up of her career in Beauty to international aviation and then aesthetics to semi permanent makeup, working for alopecia to chemotherapy patients with the logo PAY WITH SMILE to support and build other women. She talked about her mentor and idealised her mother, who herself is in beauty industry from last 25 years. Megha also narrated her saga of her education in semi permanent makeup from Malaysia and Belgrade and hercertifications from worldwide.
Amongst the guest speakers were Shaista Marghoob, leading queen of beauty industry who also shared her views on how a common woman struggles and finds way out.
Suryani Wong told that being an Indonesian and married to a Pakistani, and then settling her business in Karachi was quite arduous and how she managed to excel in Pakistan.
This program was also attended by host, anchor and TV artist Faisal Qazi, who shared his experiences about how women face difficulties in our culture. His humorous comments entertained the audience and accepted the bitter realities on a lighter but positive note.
Other notable speakers were Talat shan, Chef fatima and Rafia Mamujee who shared their perspectives on women empowerment and their wellbeing in society with pride and independence.
The program was endorsed by PHABA, Rotary Platinum, media coverage by Biz Today International and Awaz TV.
The program ended by cutting a cake and Dinner with all the attendees of the program. Then all took a tour of the Atelier and praised her efforts of the services provided in her academy.
