“Rotaract” stands for “Rotary in Action”, although the name originally comes from a combination of “Rotary” and “Interact” (International + Action), whereas Rotaractors with the aim of service above self never fail to provide services with utmost devotion wherever needed. Rotaract itself encourages young adults to augment their knowledge and skills by addressing the physical and social needs of their communities while promoting international understanding and peace through a framework of friendship and service.
Each year, all of the districts are asked to hold a conference for all Rotaractors, their clubs and administrative council so they can learn about what’s happening in Rotaract as well as Rotary and their district and meet their fellow service partners.
Like, every year, RID-3271, under the leadership of their District Rotaract Representative, Rtr. Iqra Sajjad is all ready to host their Annual District Conference, under the epigram, SYN’CON21. The event is going to be held on 4th, 5th and 6th of June’2021 and the distinct venue decided is ‘The Region; National Sailing Center’ which is completely ideal while considering the weather and pandemic situation. The superintends of this year’s Conference are Rtr. Asad Panhwar as Conference Chair, Rtn. Shahzad Sabir as Coneference Mentor, Rtr Mirza Ehtisham as Conference Co-Chair, and Rtr. Midhat Jamal as Conference Secretary.
The Conference Name SYN’CON21 basically highlights; the Synergy and Synchronization between Rotaractors and Rotarians that has kept them going over the last decade and still pushed them to excel more because Rotary is all about Teamwork.
Taking into consideration, the Conference logo is a Butterfly, which denotes three basic conceptualization, i.e. Transformation, that resonates with Rotary as we transit from Interact to Rotaract and then to Rotary, Individuality, which highlights the unique personalities of all Rotaractors which make Rotaract District 3271 as colorful as it gets, and lastly Women Empowerment, as DRR Iqra Sajjad is serving as the 5th Female Representative of RID 3271 which designates that Rotaract is a platform which believes in gender equality and uplifts female leadership.
Since it’s a grand event, therefore Rotaractors from various other international districts will also be joining the event physically as well as virtually, along with various delegates and prominent personalities, not only from Rotaract or Rotary, but from various other organizations, hence the Conference will itself surely prove one of the approach of Rotaract i.e. Fellowship, thus uniting different mindsets at one platform.
Another highlighting feature of this conference is, it will be a source of appreciation for Rotaractors, that have been working throughout the year with motto of ‘Service above Self’ as well as ‘Revitalize and Synergize’ as the conference marks awards with various categories to value and admire the toil as well as efforts of the individuals.
The conference is supposed to include various inspirational and motivational sessions by guest speakers, unique theatre plays, cultural performances, panel discussions, award ceremony, musical night, fellowship picnic and of-course several mouthful food sessions.
SYN’CON21, through the spirit of Rotaractors and Rotarians will confidently and optimistically manifest a remarkable three days conference, that will surely help the attendees to grow professionally, enhance various skills, and boost their confidence for future assignments.
