‘Pakistan – Indonesia Children Friendship’ a joint effort by Biz Today International, e-Magine Pakistan and Indonesian Consulate Karachi, was launched on 17th July 2021 in an impressive ceremony held here in Karachi Pakistan.
This launch ceremony of ‘Pakistan – Indonesia Children Friendship’ was graced by Mr. June Kuncoro Hadiningrat, Consul General of the republic of Indonesia in Sindh province as the Chief Guest.
The Indonesian Consul General expressed his pleasure at the launch of ‘Pakistan – Indonesia Children Friendship’ and extended his gratitude to e-Magine Pakistan and Biz Today International for their support and cooperation in organizing this activity jointly. He also praised all the parents and children for sparing some of your valuable time in participating in this monumental event.
Speaking at the launch, the Indonesian Consul General Mr. Mr. June Kuncoro Hadiningrat said; “let me start by informing you, what this activity is all about? As the official representative of the Republic of Indonesia to the Sindh province, I am tasked to nurture and strengthen the relations between businesses, education, and the civil society of both countries. Pakistanis are very close to the hearts of Indonesians, and vice versa because our founding fathers supported each other in times of our struggle for independence back in the 40s”.
He further continued by saying that; “stories about British Indian soldiers from Hindustan who refused to attack the Indonesian freedom fighters because they considered Muslim brothers, and the kindness of our President Sukarno who provided Pakistan support with weapons and ships during the battle with India, have become common knowledge for the older generations, like our parents and grandparents”.
The Indonesian Consul further said; “it is unfortunate that these stories are not very well-known by the younger generations, especially teenagers and children, because perhaps nobody is talking about it anymore. This is where we take our role, and continue telling these stories. We are all shaped by our history. The privileges that we enjoy, our hopes, dreams, and motivations are the result and culmination of our predecessors, and it would be unwise to forget about our history”.
He added by saying that; “let us be reminded again about the great history that we share, as two brotherly nations, and tell these stories to our children. I have high hopes for them, as our future generations, our successors, that they will also be reminded of this fact. One day, they will grow up with this knowledge, and pave way for further friendship, collaborations, and cooperation that can bridge Pakistan and Indonesia to be closer than ever”.
He continued by saying; “who knows that one of our children here will become the future ambassador for either of our countries, or perhaps they’ll become the driving force in youth empowerment, or even influencers, who will come up with new innovations and ideas across various sectors, that can greatly contribute to the development of Pakistan and Indonesia. It is our job to nurture the new generations, to direct them into achieving our mutual goals, and at the same time, to enjoy and reap the benefits of our friendship in the process”.
He said; “coming back to the original intention this event, we are hosting this program, in occasion of our upcoming National Children’s day, on 23rd July 2021. We decided that this would be the perfect momentum to launch the Indonesia – Pakistan Children’s Friendship, and bring together our kids to have some fun, to learn about our history and similarities, and also learn to create new innovations based on our shared history”.
On his concluding remarks, he said; ‘with this, I officially launch the “Indonesia – Pakistan Children Friendship”, with hopes that in the future, they will be the one carrying our legacy of friendship, and bring our two countries closer. I would now like to invite the representatives of children from both countries to symbolically open this event, by exchanging our flags, and together opening the box of toys”.
