DUBAI: The Meetings Arabia and Luxury Travel Congress has confirmed Dubai Business Events as the official host for the 2021 Annual set to take place on September 6th and 7th at the Intercontinental Festival City Dubai. Regional buyers and influencers from the world of conferences, meetings, incentives, events, business and luxury travel gather for two intensive days of making connections, learning, innovation & networking, at MALT 2021. The event will get even bigger & better this year while keeping attendees’ safety at highest priority.
This year’s host city Dubai provides the perfect backdrop for an event of this nature as the industry is looking for face to face interactions with carefully sifted buyers and rebound tourism plus focused B2B meetings in a safe and secured environment.
Being one of the first destinations to get back on its feet and resume with international tourism and business events, Dubai has set a benchmark for the world to follow! Its well-established tourism and meetings infrastructure make Dubai one of the most visited cities in the world and the region’s number one business events destination.
More than 1.7 million visitors were received by Dubai last year from July to December with an additional two million visitors in the first five months of 2021.
Keeping in line with the purpose of catering to the MICE, business and luxury travellers’ changing needs from GCC, Dubai Business Events, the city’s official convention bureau, took the decision to be a key part of the event.
Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, said: “Restarting business events was one of the city’s key priorities in the wake of the global pandemic, and this was successfully achieved thanks to Dubai’s leadership as well as the efforts of stakeholders across the public and private sectors.
“Hosting the MALT Congress allows us to give meetings and luxury travel industry professionals from across the region a platform to share knowledge and innovation and discuss the recovery and future of their sectors, while at the same time enabling us to showcase Dubai’s tourism and events infrastructure and latest offerings.
