Naya Nazimabad celebrates Independence Day with national zeal

KARACHI: By commemorating the birth of Pakistan, Naya Nazimabad community hosts Independence Day celebrations with national zeal & zest by arranging a mega event in collaboration with Pakistan Rangers and National Forum for Environment & Health (NFEH) here at Naya Nazimabad Cricket Stadium today (Aug 14, 2021).

Independence Day celebrations were commenced by the recitation of Holy Quran followed by Flag hoisting, tree plantation, national anthem and cake cutting ceremony while a staggering audience of Naya Nazimabad residents and people from different walks of life marked their presence on this occasion. The momentous celebration was held under strict observance of Covid SOPs.

Pakistan’s National Flag was hoisted by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Naya Nazimabad Abdus Samad Habib, President NFEH Naeem Qureshi, Pakistan Rangers’ Brigadier Tahir Ayaz, President Naya Nazimabad Gymkhana S.M. Talha and CEO Naya Nazimabad Maintenance Company Saeed Ahmed, Anees Younus President CSR Club.

President Naya Nazimabad Gymkhana Syed Muhammad Talha welcomed the guests by delivering a welcome speech. Syed Muhammad Talha recounted the sacrifices and struggle which led to the creation of Pakistan. He vowed the community members to serve the country by sharing the part honestly in their respected areas of work. He briefed the participants about Naya Nazimabad achievements and shed light on future endeavors as well.

While addressing on this occasion, NFEH President Naeem Qureshi extended his heartiest best wishes to every Pakistani. He lauded the efforts rendered by founders of the nation and expressed his firm belief that our youth would be following their footsteps. NFEH President shared some valuable information on environment, pollution and health hazards especially related to Karachi. Qureshi urged the audience to play proactive role in building environment friendly communities to avert serious environmental & health issues.

Pakistan Rangers’ representative Brigadier Tahir Ayaz reiterated Pakistan Armed forces’ resolve to stand firm against internal or external threat. He said that creation of Pakistan was a blessing of Almighty and we should all manage to make our beloved country prosperous.

Naya Nazimabad Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdus Samad Habib while sharing his thought said that dream of separate homeland for Muslims of subcontinent was achieved by offering huge sacrifices by our forefathers and it is now our responsibility to make this beautiful & enriched country prosperous and respectful. While talking about national development, Abdus Samad Habib shared his vision of modern housing & infrastructure with the audience. He lauded the government for taking necessary measures in promoting construction industry. “This industry can drive the nation not only towards sustainable economic growth but a very promising & secure future as well”, Samad added.  
National Forum for Environment & Health (NFEH) president Naeem Qureshi on this occasion conferred shields to CEO Naya Nazimabad Abdus Samad Habib, President Naya Nazimabad Gymkhana Syed Muhammad Talha and Pakistan Rangers’ Brigadier Tahir Ayaz.

Later, the respected guests took part in tree plantation campaign by planting the saplings at Naya Nazimabad. NFEH President Naeem Qureshi, Naya Nazimabad CEO Abdus Samad Habib, Pak Rangers’ Brigadier Tahir Ayaz, Colonel Iftekhar along with NFEH representatives Ruqiya Naeem and Engineer Nadeem Ashraf planted the saplings.
Earlier, participants of the celebration sang together the national anthem. The Independence Day celebrations were concluded by a cake cutting ceremony.
