Indian tennis superstar Sania Mirza and her American partner Christina McHale have officially entered the women’s doubles final at the WTA 250 Tournament, with a straight set win over Ulrikke Eikeri and Catherine Harrison.
Mirza and McHale beat the Norwegian-American pair in 1 hour and 23 minutes in the semi-finals of the WTA 250 tournament on Friday.
Sania Mirza, said, “It’s an absolutely amazing feeling to be able to play yet another final. The pandemic has been tough on all of us and was proving to be quite difficult for me to find the correct rhythm. I’m grateful to be able to compete again, especially in the presence of my family.”
Moving forward Sania and Christina will face Shuko Aoyama and Ena Shibahara of Japan for the title in the finals.
