DUBAI/KARACHI: Presidential Elections of ‘The Okhai Memon Jamat’ for the tenure 2021 ~ 2023, were scheduled to be held on 17th October 2021 at OMJ’s Central Office located at Husein Ebrahim Sports Complex, Huseinabad, Federal B Area, Karachi. Elections was between Aziz Ahmed Kath, Haji Tayab Abdul Sattar Vayani and Abdul Rasheed Ganatra.
But to everyone’s surprise on morning of 12th October 2021 two presidential candidates Haji Tayab Abdul Sattar Vayani and Abdul Rasheed Ganatra decided and requested to withdraw their nomination paper in favour of third presidential candidate Aziz Ahmed Kath. Both candidates handed over their nomination withdrawal requests in person and their requests were accepted by the Election Commissioner / Election Committee.
After the withdrawal of other two candidates, the Election Commissioner for 2021-23 Elections Muhammad Arif Suriya announced Aziz Ahmed Kath as the winner (unopposed) and notified him as the President of The Okhai Memon Jamat for the tenure of 2021 ~ 2023.
Aziz Ahmed Kath is a man who believes in humanity and is a great leader, a great social worker and an equally great mentor. His social work for humanity and especially for his community (OMJ) is not secret.
We wish him Aziz Ahmed Kath good luck on his new assignment as President of Okhai Memon Jamat and hope that during his tenure things will flourish more than ever before.
