Women Chapter of MKP Corporate Group hosts ‘PINKTOBER Hi-Tea’

Women Chapter of ‘MKP Corporate Group Pakistan’ hosted a Breast Cancer Awareness Session titled as PINKTOBER – Hi Tea on 23rd October 2021 at Mövenpick Hotel, Karachi. President of Women Chapter of ‘MKP Corporate Group Pakistan’, Syeda Raafia Mamujee was the host of the evening which was a very informative session Breast Cancer awareness and was followed by Hi-Tea.

Guest of honor for this event was the respected madam ‘Ani June Kuncoro’ wife of Consul General of The Republic of Indonesia in Karachi His Excellency Dr. June Kuncoro Hadiningrat.

This Pinktober initiative for Breast Cancer Awareness received a very generous collaborative effort by renowned Chughtai Lab, who with their generous effort contributed a free Mammography Test vouchers for all the participants of the event. They termed this effort as a support to this Global Fight against Breast Cancer.

Sharing her views on this occasion, respectable madam Mrs. Ani June Kuncoro said; “I would like to appreciate the efforts done by the Women Chapter of MKP Corporate Group to organize this Breast Cancer Awareness Session. Indeed, this is a great initiative to recognize and appreciate the efforts of women’s community in Pakistan. I believe that we can all contribute to raise the awareness towards breast cancer prevention”.

She further added by saying that; “I hope that my presence here also gives you some motivation for you and other woman to start and increase their cooperation by spreading information for Breast Cancer Awareness throughout the world”.

This PINKTOBER – Hi Tea session was studded with wonderful guest speakers who shared their knowledge and experienced with the audience present along with live video feed.

The keynote speaker of the evening was, Dr Tasneem Kausar, who shared her views by saying; “Breast cancer awareness should be given throughout the year and it should be started at secondary level or high school level for girls, but sadly because of social taboos it is not a subject of serious discussion, still women are reluctant to talk about any abnormality in their breast in our society, which shouldn’t be the case”.

First guest speakers of the evening was Mrs. Suriani Wong, who by profession is a qualified Areola Paramedical Tattoo Master, she offered her heart-warming gesture by providing free-of-charge services for our brave Breast Cancer survivors. This heart-warming contribution will surely be a great support factor to those females who are in their recovery process.

Next guest speaker Mrs. Sumaiya Shahadat is a nutritionist and she guided everyone, on how to take healthy diet and yourself risk free from Breast Cancer or any other disease.

Third guest speaker of the evening Mrs. Ruqiya Naeem, Secretary-General of National Forum for Environment & Health (NFEH) said; “every breast cancer survivor should become activist to ensure better treatment facilities are available for rest of women in society”.

Fourth and final guest speaker of the evening Mrs. Nadia M Khan, who also is a family-member of breast cancer Survivor shared her experience and her story with audience present at PINKTOBER Hi – Tea Session respectively.

Top management of MKP Corporate Group Pakistan, Chairman Mr. Syed Sohail Ahmed Hashimi and President Mr. Syed Kashif Ali Hashmi also paid a brief visit to render their committed support at the Breast Cancer Information Session.

MKP Corporate Group Pakistan, Chairman Mr. Syed Sohail Ahmed Hashimi said; “the only thing we have to fear is fear itself. The only thing to really be afraid of is if you don’t go for your mammograms. I would like to congratulate team MKP Woman Chapter for arranging this session and taking the initiative to promote a worthy humanitarian cause which is very crucial within the female society of our country. I would also like to thank Chughtai Lab for providing free mammography vouchers for the guests present. A very special shout-out to event partner SRM Couture and for our media partners Biz Today International and Studio One.

MKP Corporate Group Pakistan, President Mr. Syed Kashif Ali Hashmi said; “I think cancer is a hard battle to fight alone or even with another person at your side, but I must say that having someone to pick you up when you fall, stand by your side through every appointment and delivery of bad news, is priceless. We must create more and more awareness for Breast Cancer and shouldn’t be for just one month, this awareness session should go on. Every pink ribbon makes a difference by spreading awareness. Awareness is Power”.

President Women Chapter ov MKP Corporate Group Pakistan, Mrs Syed Raafia Mamujee said; “Breast Cancer Awareness shouldn’t last for just one month, but should go on. We need to spread as much as we can. The only person who can save you is you/yourself. Love yourself, be strong, be brave and must get your mammography done at the earliest. Early detection saves lives.”

President Women Chapter thanked Chughtai Lab for their support in shape of free vouchers for mammography test, which with no arguable doubt is a humanitarian contribution for this worthy cause.

She also praised team PINKTOBER and gave a loud shout out to Mrs. Fatima Sheraz event coordinator, volunteers Mrs. Sumira Imran, Mrs. Saba Zuberi and Mrs. Hina Imran. PINKTOBER was powered by SRM Couture with Biz Today International and Studio One media partners.     

Shields and certificates were distributed among the speakers & team Pinktober, followed by very refreshing hi-tea.
