Shield Corporation Limited, a market leader in baby care, signed an MoU with SEED Ventures and FK squared in a ceremony at a local hotel today. The third cycle of ‘Aao Likhein Kahani’ will inculcate creative writing in children between the age 10 to 12 years. Shield is the proud sponsor of this cycle whereas SEED Ventures and FK Squared will be implementing and executing the programme online.
Aao Likhein Kahani, a SEED Ventures and FK Squared creative writing initiative has been designed to develop story writing and critical thinking abilities of children in Pakistan. This third cycle will open up the programme to children across Pakistan and will be delivered virtually. Participants will register themselves on www.aaolikheinkahani.com and the deadline to apply will be 10th December 2021. 30 children will be shortlisted through an online essay writing competition.
These children will be inducted into a 5-day online boot camp where they will be trained by experienced trainers on how to develop stories and illustrations. ‘Aaj school Kal Dunya’ will be the central theme of the stories. Out of these 30 children, the best 5 stories will be developed into audio-visual videos with sign language interpretation, and these children will be awarded prizes for their work. The remaining 25 children will have their work published by FK Squared in a digital book. Videos by literary figures will also be developed that will act as asynchronous learning material, which can be helpful for both children in and out of the programme.

Encouraging creativity leads to better problem-solving abilities, and story structuring and writing, along with art greatly contribute to this process.
