Union Coop Pays Tribute to the Brave Martyrs

Union Coop, the largest consumer cooperative in the UAE, celebrated ‘Commemoration day’ as an expression of pride in the eternal sacrifices of the UAE’s martyrs for the sake of the nation, who sacrificed themselves in order to maintain stability and peace throughout the region and to emphasize the values of loyalty to the homeland, sacrifice and redemption as a well-established approach derived from the true Islamic religion, where the flags were hoisted at half-mast in all its 23 branches and commercial centers.

H.E. Khalid Humaid Bin Diban Al Falasi, CEO of Union Coop confirmed that as a leading national institution, Union Coop participates every year in honoring the Martyrs on the occasion of Commemoration Day, which falls on November 30 of each year, by hoisting flags at half-mast, reading Al-Fatihah, and praying for the martyrs of the homeland who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the nation’s advancement, pointing out that their participation also indicates the true meaning of loyalty, belonging, love and sacrifice for the sake of the nation and expressing pride and honor for the martyrs of the homeland who sacrificed their pure souls.

He said, “Every day, we are proud of what the people of the UAE offer to their generous country and the achievements of the nation under its wise leadership. Today, we renew our pledge of loyalty to our leadership, and we will remain their loyal children,” stressing that Honoring the martyrs as per the advice of the wise leadership and dedicating a day each year to celebrate them and their families confirms that their precious memory will remain alive in the conscience of all the people of the UAE.

In a related context, Union Coop celebrated the Golden Jubilee of the UAE, which coincides with the 50th anniversary of the founding of the United Arab Emirates, where it launched many initiatives, prizes and discounts on basic materials and products with discount rates of more than 50% for a period of 100 days to delight community members and all consumers.
