Sofitel Dubai Downtown is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Cluster Director of Revenue – Pierre Poirier-Lang.
Pierre brings close to a decade of diverse experience to the table, having previously worked in the hospitality industry in Belgium, France, and now the UAE.
Following his studies at the Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland, he started his career as a Cluster Revenue Analyst across four hotels at the Marriott Brussels Cluster Office, progressed to a Revenue Supervisor role at the JW Marriott Cannes, France. The following year, the Marriott Paris Cluster Office joined his portfolio where he worked across a range of 15 upscale and luxury hotels.
In 2017, a promising opportunity arose in the UAE, and Pierre made his move to the Marriott MEA Continent Office where he served as a Cluster Revenue Manager.
His skill set and performance earned him the position of Senior Manager – Cluster Revenue Management for a portfolio of 10 hotels before a new opportunity called to lead the Revenue strategy for Sofitel Dubai Downtown and Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche.
In his current role as the Cluster Director of Revenue at the Sofitel Dubai Downtown, an iconic French hotel, Pierre is responsible for driving total rooms revenue while playing a key role in measuring and maximizing existing resources.
Commenting on his new role, Pierre says, “Having studied the art of hospitality both in operation and – more recently – revenue management, I employ a proactive approach with a strategic mindset to help achieve our hotel’s objectives.
