KARACHI/DUBAI: NICVD is one of the best hospitals in Pakistan, said Sheikh Imtiaz Hussain, President, America-Pakistan Business Development Forum (AMPAK-BDF). He was speaking at the occasion of handing over of children ward built by AMPAK-BDF in collaboration with Rotary International.
AMPAK-BDF Chairman Zeeshan Altaf Lohya, Junaid-ur-Rehman, Anas, Atif, Global Secretary Syed Nasir Wajahat, Noman Ahmadani, Ghyas Ahmadani, Dr Zahid Ansari, Aman Pir, Dr Aalia Ahsan, Dr. Nadeem Qamar and others were also present on the occasion. Sheikh Imtiaz said that the the newly-built ward has been equipped with modern equipment to upgrade the treatment facility.
He said that apart from this, AMPAK-BDF and Rotary International have provided funds not only for the provision of surgical beds and medical equipment in different hospitals of Karachi, which has also increased the facilities for the treatment of patients. The AMPAK-BDF president said that with the construction of the ward, the children with heart ailment will have access to state of the art treatment facilities at NICVD Hospital “Thousands of children’s lives will be saved as the ward is equipped with international standard facilities.”
Sheikh Imtiaz appreciated the efforts of NICVD Executive Director Dr. Nadeem Qamar and Dr Aalia Ahsan Kamal, saying that due to their vision, the NICVD has made great strides. He said that the AMPAK-BDF would continue to work with Rotary International for the NICVD development. On the occasion, Sheikh Imtiaz announced Special Award for Dr Aalia Hassan Kamal for her exemplary efforts to serve humanity. Dr Aalia Kamal contributed to the completion of this project by raising funds along with Rotary International and AMPAK-BDF.
During the gathering, AMPAK Global Chairman Chesea Foster and Global Vice-Chairman Ahmed Nafees in their special messages, Dr. Nadeem Qamar announced their full support and expressed gratitude over completion of this project. Dr Nadeem Qamar and Dr. Sattar thanked the members of AMPAK-BDF and Rotary International and Dr. Aalia for this noble gesture.
