Emirati national wins US$1 Million in Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire draw

An Emirati national was announced as the latest US$1 million winner in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire at the draw held today at Concourse D of Dubai International Airport.

Mr Ali Al Owais, a 52 year-old UAE national based in Sharjah became the latest US$1 million winner in Millennium Millionaire Series 380 with ticket number 3651, which he purchased online on 25th December 2021.

A regular participant in Dubai Duty Free’s promotion for 3 years now, Mr. Al Owais is a father of five and runs a real estate business.

Mr. Al Owais purchased four tickets in Millennium Millionaire Series 380 and was delighted with his win and commented, “Thank you very much Dubai Duty Free! I’m so happy to have won in your amazing promotion.”

Mr. Al Owais is the 12th Emirati national to have won US$1 million since the start of the Millennium Millionaire promotion in 1999.

Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise draw for two cars and two motorbikes

Today’s Millennium Millionaire draw was conducted by Dubai Duty Free’s Executive Vice Chairman & CEO, Colm McLoughlin, COO Ramesh Cidambi, Salah Tahlak, Executive Vice President – Corporate Services and Sinead El Sibai, SVP – Marketing.

Following the Millennium Millionaire draw, the Finest Surprise draw was conducted for four luxury vehicles. Joining in the draw line-up was Mona Al Ali, SVP – Human Resources, Michael Schmidt, SVP – Retail, Sharon Beecham, SVP – Purchasing and Zayed Al Shebli, SVP – Loss Prevention and Corporate Security.

Mr. Mohamad Al Salem, a 56 year-old Saudi Arabian national based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia won a BMW X6 M50i (Mineral White Metallic) car, with ticket number 1242 in Finest Surprise Series 1793, which he purchased online on 19th December 2021.

A regular participant in Dubai Duty Free’s promotion since 1992, Mr. Al Salem is a father of three and runs his own engineering business.

Mr. Al Salem is a second time motorbike winner with Dubai Duty Free as he previously won a BMW 750Li (black) car, with ticket number 631 in Finest Surprise Series 1270 on 9th January 2007.

Mr. Al Salem purchased two tickets in Finest Surprise Series 1793 and was ecstatic to win for the second time.

“Indeed, it was great promotion! I will continue to participate in the hope of making it a third time lucky. Thank you so much Dubai Duty Free,” he said.

Meanwhile, Mr. Saood Ahli, a 37 year old UAE national based in Dubai won a Mercedes Benz S500 (Diamond White) car, with ticket number 1233 in Finest Surprise Series 1794, which he purchased online on 20th December 2021.

A regular participant in Dubai Duty Free’s promotion for 15 years, Mr. Ahli is a father of one and works for Dubai Police while running his own travel agency.

Mr. Nawwaf Al Husseini, a 41 year-old Saudi Arabian national based in Dubai won a Harley-Davidson Pan America RA 1250 (River Rock Gray) motorbike, with ticket number 0516 in Finest Surprise Series 483, which he purchased online on 3rd January.

A regular participant in Dubai Duty Free’s promotion for 5 years, Mr. Al Husseini is a father of one and works as corporate banker for a local bank.

“Thank you very much Dubai Duty Free. I will participate more often and hopefully to win again!” he said.

Lastly, Mr. Adil Sardar Nazjr, a 37 year-old Pakistani national based in Dubai won a BMW R nineT Scrambler (Kalamata Metallic Matt) motorbike, with ticket number 0157 in Finest Surprise Series 484, which he purchased online on 11th January.

A regular participant in Dubai Duty Free’s promotion for 3 years, Mr. Nazir is a father of three and works as construction manager.

“Finally! What a great lucky day! I’m forever thankful for this win Dubai Duty Free!” he said.
