Her Excellency Noura Bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth, visited the pavilion of the Federal Republic of Germany at Expo 2020 Dubai. The Germany Pavilion, one of the largest at Expo, is located in the Sustainability District of the Expo and it is entitled “Campus Germany”.
The design of the pavilion is inspired by a university campus, and focuses mainly on science, knowledge, technological development. It recreates a research and innovation environment, focusing on employing digital technologies and artificial intelligence on a large scale.
The idea of the pavilion revolves around ‘edutainment’ and showcases German innovations and sustainable solutions in the field of energy. It depicts a city of the future with biodiversity, where dozens of German innovations that serve to promote sustainability, environmental protection and technology are displayed. Some of the highlights include solar cells for energy generation and sustainable food production technologies, as well as ideas related to giant cities of the future. The pavilion provides an interactive platform, where it engages with its visitors for them to practically experience how sustainability can be put to practice in daily life.
