Global science moot in ICCBS-Karachi University from Monday

The 15th International Symposium on Natural Product Chemistry (ISNPC-15) will commence at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi (UoK) on Monday morning (Feb. 21).

Sindh Minister for Health & Population Welfare Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho will inaugurate the international symposium (Feb. 21-24) in which a large number of national and international scientists will participate.

This was stated by Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, Director of the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences, and COMSTECH Coordinator General while speaking at a meeting held at the HEJ, Research Institute of Chemistry on Friday.

He said that this symposium is recognized as one of the most prestigious international events in the field of natural product sciences. He said the global conference would serve as a platform for a large level of interactions of national and international scientists and scholars.

The inaugural ceremony will be held on Monday at 09:30 am in Prof. Salimuzzaman Siddiqui Auditorium (ICCBS). Sindh Minister for Health & Population Welfare Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho will deliver the inaugural speech, while Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman, Chairman of Prime Minister’s Task Force on Science and Technology and ICCBS Patron-in-chief, Prof. Dr. Khalid M. Iraqi, Vice Chancellor University of Karachi, Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, Chairperson Dr. Panjwani Memorial Trust Ms. Nadira Panjwani, Chairman Husein Ebrahim Jamal Foundation Mr. Aziz Latif Jamal and Prof. Dr. Syed Ghulam Musharraf will also express their views on the occasion.

Through this meeting stronger research ties between the scientists of different regions can be fostered, he observed.
