Internationally-renowned Indian playback singer Sukhwinder Singh described his performance at Expo 2020 Dubai, which was held on the Jubilee Stage on Friday (18 February), as his biggest international concert to date.
In a statement to the Expo News Service before the concert, Singh said: “Expo 2020 Dubai concerts are very special, exciting, entertaining and wonderful; and wherever I can sing in different languages, I prepare well, and that’s why I perform well.” He also expressed his gratitude to renowned musician A. R. Rahman, who introduced him to the music world.
He added: “Children send me messages enquiring about Expo 2020 Dubai and asking for information about it, so I feel that Expo 2020 offers great opportunities for the next generation who want to know everything about the international event.
“The world of music and singing is always full of innovation, and its future is always bright. I will learn a lot from the diverse audience attending Expo 2020 Dubai’s concerts; they inspire me not to be bound by a single idea, but to unleash the powerful energies of innovation. For me, Expo is a big festival, and the visitors are full of enthusiasm for the concerts held here.”
