The Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of MAKKAH, His Royal Highness Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, launched today (Monday) a conference and exhibition for Hajj and Umrah services under the slogan “Transformation towards innovation”, which was organized by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the presence of ministers from more than 20 countries, which sheds light on the latest developments. It was reached by the digital transformation of the ministry as part of its efforts to achieve Vision 2030.
The Minister of Hajj and Umrah, His Excellency, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, confirmed that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his trusted Crown Prince, have given their attention and care to serving the pilgrims. He added during his speech at the opening of the conference that the “Guests of the Most Merciful” program is one of the pillars of the Kingdom’s vision 2030 and aims to enrich the experience of visitors from among the guests. Al-Rahman is from Makkah and Madinah, pointing to the ministry’s endeavor, through cooperation with the government and private sectors, to innovate, and to create unprecedented projects. For this reason, we launched the Hajj and Umrah Challenge with the aim of attracting entrepreneurs, collecting creative ideas and implementing them. Over the past 48 hours, more than 1,500 people have submitted.
Dr. Al-Rabiah added during the opening session (Transformation towards innovation and technology) that, “the Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on all parts of the world. Personally, as a former Minister of Health, I experienced its impact on the health sector, as I see its effects on the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, as I am its Minister now”.
He added that the Umrah app (Eatmarna), which wasn’t available earlier, is one of the most beautiful experiences to organize Prayers, Umrah and visiting the ”Rawdah Sharif” in Prophet Mosque (PBUH) by the visitors and Umrah pilgrims.
