DUBAI/KARACHI: The diplomatic reception was attended by the highest officials in Sindh Province, namely the Chief Minister (CM) of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah; Governor of Sindh Kamran Tessori; and Commissioner of Karachi, Muhammad Iqbal Memon, as well as partners of the Indonesian Consulate General in Karachi, from diplomatic circles, business people, press and media, academics, and others. This activity was attended by around 400 people.
CM Sindh, Murad Ali Shah as the Guest of Honour, congratulated Indonesia on the 77th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia and expressed hope that the relations between Indonesia and Pakistan as the two friendly countries will strengthen in the future. In particular, CM Murad Ali expressed his gratitude for Indonesia’s humanitarian assistance, especially to the Indonesian Health Team for helping Pakistan in difficult times.
Closing the series of diplomatic receptions, the Indonesian Consul General in Karachi together with CM Sindh, the Governor of Sindh, the Mayor of Karachi and the President, International Business Management, Muhammad Saleem Bikiya jointly cut the cake for the 77th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.
