This is Naureen Abbas a (fashion designer.) First of all I would like to thank my husband Ghulam Abbas for being so kind and supportive throughout my journey without his support I would never become what I’m today. Got married in my early 20’s, being a full time housewife, adjusting in joined family system wasn’t easy at all since I came from an entirely different background and environment.
There were some strict rules like doing everything on time from early morning breakfasts to early dinners with multiple house chores. I had so many dreams and goals which I wanted to achieve but again it’s not easy, you have to let go off many things after marriage. So, whenever I got time for myself I used to design clothes, mixing colours, sketching etc. Managing with 3 school going kids from teaching and helping them in their studies with old aged MIL and FIL and their full time male nurses, had to cook fresh food according to their needs but to be honest all of their prayers and offcourse my parents moral support and my passion for designing never stopped me to do my favourite work.
I never got to attend many events due to my tight schedule but somehow arranged events at my place because my mother always used to encourage me how many hidden talents I have and one of them was interior decoration, loved decorating my own house. So, I finally started my journey of designing clothes a few years after my marriage on a small scale for family events, relatives and offcourse for my own self.
People started loving my work and I used to get compliments wherever I go and that’s how I started getting orders from not only people around me but internationally as well. After all the hardwork I finally decided to launch my brand in 2020 and named it as ‘Fabricology by Naureen Abbas.’ But soon after this COVID hit my whole family and my husband got hospitalized for days so I had to run errands on my own, at the same time got a big order as well. I still say it was all a miracle that how I managed everything alone. It’s been 18 years since I am working in this field and providing worldwide service.
After many hardships I have faced during my entire life and went through hardest times in the last few months I came to realize, you have to be a strong independent woman and be your own hero with positive mind because storms don’t lasts forever.
