BIT is essential for Tourism Malaysia, in the framework of the activities aimed at the trade. It is a moment of openness and discussion with colleagues and partners. The aspiration is to be able to meet as many operators and people as possible to share new experiences and products that Malaysia offers in this new era of tourism after the pandemic.

After years of constant participation in the Tourism Malaysia event, it arrives in Milan on the strength of a well-defined post-Covid strategy focused on nature tourism, sustainable tourism and slow travel for those travellers interested in discovering this Southeast Asian country in the most authentic way.

Malaysia will highlight its “X factors” to encourage Italian tourists to travel and encourage travellers to embrace its new ways of doing tourism as an important social economic driver. In 2021, out of 15 million active employees in Malaysia, the tourism industry employs more than 3.5 million people in different sectors. 35.4 % are employed in the food & beverage sector, 33.6 % work in commerce and 17.6 % are directly related to in-country services used by tourists.
