DUBAI: Matco Foods Limited (MFL) is Pakistan’s Largest Basmati Rice Exporter with its flagship brand Falak exhibited at Gulfood 2023. on 20-24 February, 2023 at Dubai World Trade Center. It was a very busy and successful first day as 2023 was the first year without any Covid-19 restrictions and huge numbers of visitors and exhibitors attended. Gulfood is the biggest food trade show in the world with participation from nearly every country in the world. It is the leading event for global food sourcing and trends.
Falak Brand is exported to over 40 countries in the world and is the biggest rice brand from Pakistan. The brand has expanded its range in recent years from its premium extra long basmati rice and now includes spices, sugars, prepared mixes, soups, salts, specialty flours, and organic offerings for rice. Falak Fries Masala , Falak Chat Masala and Falak Chicken powder were some of the new products on display with a lot of international interest because of their unique taste and flavour.
The company is one of the largest exporters from Pakistan earning valuable foreign exchange. Matco Foods Limited has also set up a Matco Corn Division and Matco Rice Glucose division for starches and sweetners. It has over 60 years of experience in the Agri commodities industry and is listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange. Third Generation members of the family are working in the company.
