dnata Government Travel, part of leading global air and travel services provider dnata, has partnered with du, from Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), Arabian Radio Network and Dubai Sports Council to launch a padel tournament for government employees this March.
The sports event was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman & Chief Executive Emirates Airline & Group, at an official ceremony with the presentation of a signed World Padel Academy jersey, representing the venue of the upcoming tournament.

Embracing one of the world’s fastest growing sports by participation, dnata Government Travel initiated the padel event to engage with government entities across Dubai and the Northern Emirates. It aligns with the city’s vision and objectives to make Dubai the happiest city on Earth and provide citizens and residents with opportunities to embrace an active and healthy lifestyle.

Representatives from Government entities across Dubai and the Northern Emirates are invited to participate in the tournament, which will take place from 8 -10 March 2023, at the World Padel Academy Dubai. Members of the public can attend to observe the ‘knock-out’ tournament and participate in a series of raffle draws, games, and other entertainment. Unmissable prizes have been offered by event partners including Crown & Champa Resorts and Taj Hotels. Fans will also be able to enjoy gastronomic delights served by popular local brands G.O.A.T. Burger and Smash Speciality Coffee.
The event will follow on from the ‘GOV GAMES’ series, a unique team building initiative launched in 2018 by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, which will take place in early March.
The new event forms part of the dnata Travel Group’s continued commitment to sports travel.
