Public should use every means possible to conserve water, research scholar Muhammad Shahid said during his address on World Water Day at KPS University Road campus on 22nd March Wednesday.

Only 3% of earth’s water is fit for consumption, which alone explains the scarcity of water, the researcher said.

Stressing on the importance of water conservation, the researcher said consumers could help conserve water by preventing water pollution, recycling used water, and minimizing its usage.

Water is a blessing and consumers must take every measure to conserve it and spread this awareness to others, Shahid said.

Giving an example of conservation, the scholar said used water can be recycled for gardening.

Students used playcards and live presentations to educate the attendees on water scarcity and importance of conservation. Teachers and students also pledged that they would raise awareness about conservation ways they learned during the event.
