DUBAI: LADIESFUND Eid Milan was held with 75 diverse, dynamic women across ages and sectors, all in their Eid joras. The purpose of the event was social networking and celebration of the holiday that ended the month of fasting. Guests were encouraged to not only meet with friends but introduced themselves and mingle with new people. Spotted at the event were Ameena Saiyid, Khursheed Hyder, Maha Sheikh, Madiha Rehman, Sana Sultan, among others.
There were also fashion design students from AIFD and television personalities from Hum Network and Masala TV. German Deputy Head of Mission Andreas Wegner joined in, wearing a striking shawal kameez. Each guest brought their personal favourite, family ethnic Eid dish, creating a variety and particularly delicious palette of cuisine across Memon, Punjabi, Bori, Sindhi, Pashtu, Hyderabadi, etc. tastes. There were some guests from the Parsi and Christian communities who brought their own holiday dishes as well.
The Milan was hosted by Tara Uzra Dawood, President, LADIESFUND, at The Buraq Center, Pakistan’s first all-female incubation center and co-working space.
