DUBAI: Rixos Premium Dubai is thrilled to announce its collaboration with the esteemed Turkish artist, Deniz Sagdic, for a captivating art exhibition set to take place in the hotel lobby from June 15th to August 15th. The talented artist, who has previously presented her work in such esteemed public spaces as Milan, London, and Hong Kong, will showcase some of her stunning work for guests to enjoy as they enter this incredible hotel. Famed for using waste materials to create incredible masterpieces, Deniz’s style perfectly aligns with Rixos Premium Dubai’s ethos and commitment to sustainability.
Hailing from Mersin, Turkey, she began her art education at Mersin University Faculty of Fine Arts in 1999, graduating in 2003. Since then, she has featured in many international and national projects, gaining acclaim across the globe for her inventive artistic creations and outside the box thinking. Bringing her talents to Dubai, and Rixos Premium Dubai in particular, is an exciting step for Deniz as the city is a hub for creative expression and individualism.
Deniz Sagdic’s unique artistic style and her innovative use of waste materials, ensures this exhibition will be a visual delight and a thought-provoking experience for visitors. Known for using recycled materials, her work is not only breathtaking but also promotes sustainability. Deniz promotes sustainability by bringing a new perspective to environmentally friendly approaches by evaluating all kinds of human-made wastes. Entitled “Ready-ReMade”, the art show will feature 14 exquisite pieces on seven specially designed stands.
Deniz Sagdiç’s art is an extraordinary amalgamation of classical techniques and conceptual art. Through her “Ready-ReMade” project, she breathes new life into everyday objects that would otherwise be discarded. Deniz detaches objects from their physical functions, giving them a new function with its own unique perspective, and makes them to appeal to the soul.
A firm believer in sustainability, Deniz Sagdic uses her artwork as a medium to prompt viewers to contemplate their consumption patterns. Human faces feature prominently in Deniz Sagdic’s artwork, as she believes that they possess the power to communicate emotions and thoughts effectively. By combining waste materials with human faces, Deniz aims to remind us of our true essence and challenge societal notions of consumption.
