Kate Hardcastle MBE is the recognisable face as the consumer champion across all major UK broadcasting channels. Seen weekly across Sky News, ITV and BBC, Kate is also seen offering insight and advice to family shoppers on prime-time TV shows such as ITV’s ‘ Shop Well for Less’ and contributing her retail business acumen on programmes such as ‘ Greggs – The Untold Story’ for Channel 5.

As CEO of Insight With Passion, Kate’s 20 year business career now sees her splitting her time between the UK, US & UAE, as an award-winning global expert on retail, consumer behaviour. Born in Yorkshire, and now living with her family in the South of England, Kate helps transform retail focused businesses from the inside out, from the factories of China to the stages of keynote events such as the Ideal Home Show  – always with a focus on the customer experience.

As a mum of 3, including twins, and with an unusual career trajectory where she chose not to take the easy path and worked in all possible departments, she is not just an in-demand business expert and sought after commentator in the media, but also as a role model for busy working parents everywhere, with her relatable and down to earth demeanour making her so popular. Kate would love to work on any feature or interview opportunities on the following topics:

  • Health – Managing work with chronic illness
  • Parenting & Family life – Consumer advice, travelling with kids and making life ‘work’ with a busy household and a full time career
  • Realistic sustainability – With a passion for the environment and an award winning website ‘Buy Smarter, Buy Greener’, Kate is an expert on not only saving pennies but also the planet, all in a way that modern families understand and can relate to
  • Work & Careers – From breaking into a predominantly man’s world as a young retail executive, to global boardrooms and stages, Kate has been there and fought the good fight. Balancing motherhood with career progression, inspiring young women to build portfolio careers, management and leadership, Kate’s insight covers 20 years of building her way to the top and all the challenges and successes that come with it.
