DUBAI/KARACHI: The Rotary Club of Karachi Quaid hosted a spectacular Grand Annual Gala, a night dedicated to giving and fundraising, with esteemed Chief Guest District Governor Elect Mr. Rizwan Adhia (2024-25). The event, held at Seadale Karachi, was a resounding success, bringing together community leaders, members, and supporters for an evening of celebration and philanthropy.
Mr. Nadeem Polani, President of the Rotary Club of Karachi Quaid, set the tone with a warm welcome speech. He highlighted the club’s remarkable past activities and unveiled plans for a crucial Medical Camp scheduled for mid-December in Tharparker, Sindh, addressing severe medical issues in one of the most impoverished areas of Pakistan.
District Governor Elect Mr. Muhammad Rizwan Adhia graced the occasion with his address, emphasizing the importance of team building and delving into the Rotary Vision, underscoring the collaborative efforts necessary to achieve the club’s goals. In his inspiring speech, Mr. Adhia shared anecdotes of successful Rotary projects from around the world, illustrating the transformative power of collective action. He urged members to embrace the Rotary spirit wholeheartedly, underscoring the profound change that can be achieved when individuals come together with a shared vision.
The Unveiling: Capturing Rotary Moments
The highlight of the opening segment was the unveiling and launch of the Rotary Club of Karachi Quaid’s first newsletter. Covering events from July 2023 to October 2023, the newsletter was conceived by General Secretary Ms. Sana Muzzamil and designed by Mr. Mudassir Hussain.
Celebration and Cultural Inclusion: Diwali Extravaganza
Adding a touch of cultural diversity, the gala featured a Diwali celebration, complete with a cake-cutting ceremony. Mr. Krishna Sagar, Chief Coordinator of the Pakistan Hindu Council, joined the stage alongside Mr. Nadeem Polani and Mr. Rizwan Adhia, symbolizing the club’s commitment to inclusivity and cultural exchange.
Club Achiever Award: Recognizing Excellence
A moment of recognition occurred as Mr. Mudassir was presented with the Club Achiever Award. Securing the first place on the Rotary course leaderboard in District 3271, he completed an impressive 204 courses and was awarded 100 badges from Rotary. The award was presented by the Honorable Chief Guest, District Governor Elect (2024-25) Mr. Rizwan Adhia, alongside club President Mr. Nadeem Polani.
Culmination with Elegance: Dinner and Musical Performances
The night continued with a sumptuous dinner, fostering camaraderie and networking among the attendees. Musical performances added a delightful touch, concluding the evening on a high note of celebration and unity.
