DUBAI: The Emirates Group today commemorated the UAE’s incredible journey as a nation and its vibrant cultural heritage ahead of the country’s 52nd National Day, with employees gathered at the Group’s headquarters in Dubai to mark the union of the nation.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive Emirates airline and Group honoured the festivities with his presence, along with the Group’s leadership and senior management. Emirates Group employees experienced some of the most popular traditions of the UAE heritage from weaving burqa’s and applying henna to designing personalised calligraphy.
Customers flying with Emirates on 2 December, may also enjoy an array of regional treats and Arabian dishes as well as a library of Emirati music and movies onboard. The airline will further honour the UAE National Day with Emirati specialties presented across its Dubai Airport Lounges.
