KARACHI: The Champions trophy turned out to be a memorable event. 17 Year old Ali Salman emerged as the Champion with a 16-2 record followed by his 12 year old sibling Ahmed Salman on 2nd.
For the first time in Pakistan both the first and second position players were gibsonized.
Incredibly the only defeats for both brothers were against each other!
Waseem Khatri spoiled the “Salman party” by finishing 3rd with 12 wins while the third Salman brother; 15 year old Affan narrowly missed out due to a tied game finishing 4th with 11.5 wins.
13 year old Aehzam Siddiqui finished 5th making Waseem look verrrry old in their company.
