Usman Institute of Technology (UIT) conferred 379 degrees during its recent convocation ceremony. Six students, recognized for outstanding academic performance, were honored with Usman Gold Medals and cash prizes of Rs. 25,000 each.
Vice-Chancellor of NED University, Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodi, presided over the convocation, personally awarding degrees to the 379 graduating students. The breakdown includes 156 Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degrees, 107 Bachelor of Sciences in Computer Science degrees, and 116 Bachelor of Sciences in Software Engineering degrees.
Narmeen Naem ullah Sheikh from the Department of Electrical Engineering (computer system), Ammar Bin Amir from the department of Electrical Engineering (Electronics), Fahad Mansoor from the department of Electrical Engineering (Power), Rameen Hassan from the department of Electrical Engineering (Telecom), Shaiz Akbar from the department of Computer Science and Gul e Hasnain from the department of Software Engineering secured the first position and awarded Usman Hasham gold medals with a cash prize of rupees 25,000.
Additionally, four first-position students from the Department of Electrical Engineering received Gold Medals from the Institute of Engineering Pakistan (IEP).
Addressing the convocation, Dr. Abdul Qadir, Director of Usman Institute of Technology, expressed gratitude for the ongoing support and guidance from NED University, the affiliated institution. With 29 years of dedicated service, Usman Institute has produced over 5000 graduates who are contributing significantly in Pakistan and globally. The academic programs at UIT meet the highest standards set by accrediting bodies such as the Pakistan Engineering Council and the National Computing Education Accreditation Council, both accrediting UIT at their highest levels.

UIT’s proud alumnus and the guest of honor, Dr. Shahmir Amir world renowned Ethical Hacker, along with other dignitaries including PROVC NED University Dr. Muhammad Tufail, Registrar NED University Ghanzanfar Hussain, Board Members of Usman Memorial Foundation & Chancellor Usman Institute of Technology Hussain Hasham, Deans, and Faculty members of NED and UIT, graced the occasion with their presence.
