DUBAI: The first edition of a three-day-long Japan Kyoto Trade Exhibition, which is expected to forster a strong bi-lateral relationship between the UAE and Japan, kicked off on Monday with a colourful inauguration ceremony at Dubai World Trade Centre. HE Mohammad Ali Rashid Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chmaber of Commerce, attended the event at the invitation and cut the ribbon together with HE Akimasa Yamashita, vice governor Kyoto Prefecture, to celebrate the opening of the Japan Kyoto Trade Exhibition that is expected to attract 20,000 visitors in three days.
HE Sheikh Manaa Bin Hashir Al Maktoum, a member of the ruling family of Dubai, UAE also attended the opening and expressed his full confidence in the Japan Kyoto Trade Exhibition, jointly hosted by the governments of Kyoto, Japan, and the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai (DET).
HE Kenjun Ashikaga Kyoto Director, Hisham Kasim CEO of DET , HE Issam Kasim, Director International Affairs Chamber of Commerce, Ahmed Al Jumeri Director of DET, Mohamed Sharaf COO of DET also participated in the Trade exhibition which is now positioned to be an annual fixture in the Middle East, offering a stage for Japanese business to display their innovations in products and services, while simultaneously presenting UAE-based entities fresh avenues for exploration. Most of the guests along with a number of officials toured the exhibition stalls where as many as 100 Japanese exhibitors are participating that cover diverse industrial sectors including technology, automotives, animation, video games, food, and beverages, among others.
Japan Kyoto Trade Exhibition, jointly organized by Le-Astrid International and Benchmark Events, with MAICO Enterprises Inc., a leading Japanese trade organization, is a debut event in Dubai, aimed to foster collaboration between Japan and the UAE.
