DUBAI/KARACHI: Biz Today International hosted International Business Women Awards on Monday, 26th February 2024 Marriott Hotel, Karachi. This awards ceremony was conducted to acknowledge and appreciate the women-business-leaders, who are serving in their respective communities and across business sectors of the country.
Biz Today International being the Worlds pre-eminent twenty-four(24) hour English language online news portal that extensively covers business, economics, technology and finance to travel, fashion and lifestyle, presenting in-depth & up-to-the- 24 hours, 7 days a week, to bring accurate and up to the minute news coverage of international affairs to its reader.
Biz Today International Business Women Awards were anchored by Anila Razzak and as per routine, event formally kicked off with reciting of some verses from Holy Quran by the founder of Biz Today International Rafiq Vayani.
During her Welcome Speech, Ms. Shazia Mateen, patron Biz Today International welcomed all the awardees, theirs families and guests. In advance she also congratulated all the awardees who were to receive their awards shortly.
During first keynote speech of the evening, Ms. Raeda Latif, Chief Marketing Officer / Business Development Office at Pakistan Stock Exchange shared her views on the brilliance and resilience of all top-performing women in our society and of the impact that is created by such women on industry, business and society. She said; for centuries, women have fought tirelessly for recognition, equality, and respect in the workplace. And while significant progress has been made, the journey towards true gender equality is far from over.
During other keynote speech, Ms. Haya Sehgal, Renowned Author of her book Earth & Glimmer spoke about how good we are as nation. She said; we must endeavour to stay strong and honour those who do work for it or serve. On her book, she said; Earth and Glimmer is about find safe space that was once promised by the idea of its creation. It speaks of minority groups of an vulnerable communities. It speaks of loss and even heart-break.
Chief Guest of the event, His Excellency Dr. June Kuncoro Hadiningrat, Consul General of the Republic of in Karachi along-with his wife Mrs. Ainee June Kuncoro in his speech thanked and appreciated the efforts of team Biz Today International specially Mr. Rafiq Vayani. His Excellency highlighted the efforts of women, specially Indonesian Women who are working tirelessly to boost relationship between two brotherly countries Indonesia and Pakistan.
Awards ceremony commenced with Ms. Raeda Latif, who was awarded for being the Best Female Marketing Guru in Today’s Corporate World and Ms. Haya Sehgal for the Best Female Author. Award for her Outstanding Marketing Contribution in Hospitality Sector went to Aiman Imran and for her role as being the Pioneer in Jewellery Business, it was Aneesa Unus.
Award for her Outstanding contributions towards betterment of child-care/ PEADS went to Dr. Aliya Kemal Ahsan and for her Outstanding contributions in social work, Mehwish Riaz was awarded. Best Women Entrepreneur in PR Industry went to Anila Weldon and in her absence Ms. Lubna Mudassir received her award. Award for being the Best Women Entrepreneur in Event Management, Productions and Creative Content went to Esen Rizvi
For her Outstanding contributions towards community welfare (specializing garden-maintenance) Ms. Sabra Tufail and in her absence Ms. Jamila received her award. for being the Best in Health & Sports Ms. Aiman Nisar got awarded. For her Tremendous efforts to boost Trade between Pakistan Indonesia Mrs. Suminten was awarded and for Supporting Indonesian Women Diaspora in Karachi Mrs. Sumiyati was recognized.
For being the Best Women Entrepreneur in Event Management & Public Relations, Ms. Fatima Sheraz was awarded and for her Remarkable Sales Contribution in Hospitality Sector Komal Zameer was recognized. Pioneer Realtor, for breaking barriers for Women in Real Estate Sector went Mariam Madhupurwala and for her Outstanding contributions in grooming sector Shabana Merchant was awarded.
For being the Pioneer in Event Management, Neelam Wali Ghouri was awarded and the award for Best Exporter (Female) Schazeeya Mateen was recognized for her outstanding contributions.
Vote of thanks speech was delivered by Ms. Sarwat Nasim Shah, Patron ‘Biz Today International, who thanked all the winners, their families and all the distinguished/esteemed guests that were present.
After a group photo of all the winners along-with Chief Guest, Hosts and other distinguished guests, all the event-attendees were served with refreshing hi-tea.
