DUBAI/KARACHI: Sheikh Imtiaz Hussain, a well-known businessman, has been elected as the Chairman for the year 2024-2025 of the Pakistan-US Business Council of the FPCCI (Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry). Hussain aims to further enhance bilateral trade between Pakistan and the United States.
Expressing his commitment, Sheikh Imtiaz Hussain stated that he would leverage his expertise to play a pivotal role in the economies of both the United States and Pakistan. Notably, he holds various positions of responsibility, including President of the America-Pakistan Business Forum, Managing Director of Imtiaz Enterprises, President of Pakistan Agriculture and Horticulture Forum, Director of Swiss Business Council, Deputy Governor of Rotary International, and Patron of Youth Parliament.
He is actively contributing to strengthening trade, economic, and cultural ties between Pakistan and the United States. Moreover, Hussain is promoting Pakistani products in the United States and other countries. Through the exchange of high-level trade delegations between both countries, he aims to improve relations and introduce Pakistani products to the American market.
Additionally, Hussain’s collaboration with the United States is receiving special attention for the development of various sectors in Pakistan, ultimately bolstering the national economy. He is also playing a significant role in attracting American business personalities to invest in Pakistan, particularly in the IT sector and other vital industries, to expedite growth.
Sheikh Imtiaz Hussain’s contributions extend beyond business, as he is also actively involved in social services under Rotary International. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he was praised for his commendable services, providing facilities not only to hospitals, doctors, nurses, and patients but also for the rehabilitation of affected individuals.
Moreover, Hussain is taking steps to empower unemployed individuals in Pakistan through business ventures, aiming to eradicate unemployment from the country. He has vowed to prioritize boosting Pakistan’s exports alongside enhancing trade with the United States, ensuring Pakistan’s inclusion in the list of developed nations, steering the country out of present crises towards prosperity.
