DUBAI: The promotions of Hindi film Gabru Gang, the World’s First Film on Kite Flying which releases today worldwide, took the city by storm. It is written and directed by Dubai’s own Sameer Khan and produced by Interglobe Developments represented by Vivek Sinha and Ashish Kohli, Om Suraj Production represented  by Ashok Goenka, Amritsar Talkies represented by Aarti Puri and Kingsmaker Entertainment represented by Sameer Khan. Gabru Gang is released by Panorama Productions in India and by Phars Films in the Middle East.  Bellatrix Real Estate Development was the Presenting Sponsor of the World Premiere of Gabru Gang represented by Suhaib Shaikh.

Gabru Gang starrs the talented ensemble of Abhishek Duhan, Srishty Rode, Avtar Gill, Arti Puri, Abhilash Kumar, and Mukesh Bhatt.

The cast and crew started the day with a visit to the Sikh Gurudwara at Jebel Ali followed by a visit to the Jebel Ali site of Beatrix Real Estate and a radio station visit followed by the press conference at Flora Creek Hotel and premier at Vox Cinemas at Deira City Centre. Well known choreographer Mudassar joined the press conference and actor Drishti Dhami attended the film screening with the cast and crew. 

REAL HEROES FELICITATED BY REEL HEROES
During the press conference, the real heroes of the Dubai floods were felicitated for their exceptional bravery by the reel heroes of Gabru Gang. This included Shahvez Khan, an audit professional, who broke upon the roof of a vehicle submerged in an underpass at Business Bay, businessman and influencer Muneer Al Wafa, who mobilised 7 whatsapp groups mobilising thousands of people to connect to each other and provide help to the destitute, Professor Ali Khwaja  of the American University of Sharjah, who flagged off and assisted several off roaders with their huge vehicles to  assist in flood relief and move the affected to safer pastures, Muneer Pandiyala, a journalist who swung into action during that time and  went to several water logged areas rescuing people in canoes with other volunteers, Ms Shabana Hassan, teacher at the American International School at Ajman and her son Mohammad Aman who converted her home into a collection centre for flood relief. 

The film is set on the  bustling streets of Amritsar, where every kite enthusiast dreams of clinching the prestigious Hi-Fly Cup, one young boy stands out from the crowd, an 8-year-old prodigy, whose passion for kite-flying knows no bounds. Alongside his loyal friends Arshad and Uday, Rajbeer embarks on a remarkable journey that catapults him to the pinnacle of kite-flying success. With a stellar lineup of singers including Daler Mehndi, Sukhwinder Singh, Altamash Faridi, Manj Musik, and Dev Negi, Gabru Gang is a musical extravaganza with soul-stirring melodies and foot-tapping beats transport you to a world where every song is a celebration of life.

“I’ve not made a film. I’m telling you all a story within 2 hours about the journey of an 8 year old boy who goes on to become the number 1 kite cutter of India,” says Sameer Khan, Director and Producer, Gabru Gang who was thrilled with the response the film generated.
