DUBAI: Tashkeel and SALT unveiled a stunning set of designs from some of the UAE’s most innovative and creative visual artists at a special event in Dubai last night.

The designs were chosen following a nationwide open call that saw entries coming in from across the Emirates, with 20 selected to go on display at SALT’s Marsa Al Arab restaurant in the new Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab Hotel.

SALT launched the open call earlier this year in partnership with Tashkeel, looking for captivating visual designs that could match the mood of SALT’s newest restaurant. Winners were selected based on visual flair, creativity and success in resonating with SALT’s vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.

The 20 designers whose  posters will remain on permanent display at SALT Marsa Al Arab are Abeer Loan, Abeer Mohammed, Antony Novoselov, Arwa Waleed,Dalilah Mansour, Bryan Xan, Bushra Musallam, Darwin Alingig, Meera Jassim, Shaikha Khater, Yasmeen Naeem, Hind Karam, Jenna Brooker, Mai Ayman, Maryam Al Shamsi, Nadia Namvar, Nataliia Kazenova, Nuran Musa, Osha Almheiri, Ossayli Brothers, Yaarop Tallaa, Mitali Sampat and Ibrahim Zaki.

Karam Hoar, Marketing & Communications Manager, Tashkeel, said: “Tashkeel exists to support projects that embed UAE-made art and design into the local economy, and SALT is a great example of an indigenous brand that has grown to become a community phenomenon. We were pleased to work with SALT in hosting this open call and were impressed by the standard of craft and creativity we saw in the submissions. This ongoing display of UAE designers’ work at the new Marsa Al Arab restaurant will provide visual excitement to go with the tantalising food.”
