Indonesia Festival:Celebrating Properous Indonesia-Pakistan Relations launched in LuckyOne Mall

KARACHI: On 29 June 2024, the Indonesian Consulate General in Karachi, in collaboration with LuckyOne Management and supported by IBM and other Pakistani business community, successfully launches a grand cultural event, at LuckyOne Mall from 3 consecutive days, 28-30 June 2024, Indonesia Festival: Celebrating Prosperous Indonesia-Pakistan Relations.

This event aims to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Indonesia and strengthen the bonds of friendship between Indonesia and Pakistan, especially between the young communities.

On the opening remarks, Indonesian Consul General, Dr. June Kuncoro Hadiningrat stated that the need for elevating relations between young people of Pakistan and Indonesia through social cultural activities and education in order to compliment business relations between the two countries, Meanwhile director general of protocols (MoFA) Mr. Irfan Somroo, stated that Pakistan needs to learn from Indonesia on building stronger nation by engaging all the elements of the country.

Mr. Ibrahim Tabba, the Director of LuckyOne Mall welcomes and highly appreciate the event, that it is that first time a consulate celebrating the relations between two countries in LuckyOne Mall for making the bond stronger and also he recognized the initiative taken by the Indonesian Consulate for Display the culture of Indonesia along with the similarities between both countries upon the cultural basis.

The event is enlivened with the performances by Indonesia-Pakistan Children Friendship (IPCF) on “Merak Dance” (Peacock dance)and also by there performance on “Mor Tho Tilli Rana” (Peacock dance) which was sponsored by Sindh Ministry of Culture Tourism and Archives, showcasing the cultural similaties between both countries. The guests to the Opening are provided with chance to taste and enjoy Indonesian cuisines.

The first and the last day of the event showcase Indonesian national arts, Pencak Silat, by the Pakistan Pencak Silat Federation which was joined by the child visitors in LuckyOne Mall.

The extravagant event has been enjoyed by Karachites and other visitors to the LuckyOne Mall and successfully bring people of Pakistan to get to know Indonesia better.
