On completion of 77 years, the National Institute of Maritime Affairs (NIMA) celebrated Pakistan’s Independence Day with full enthusiasm and national fervour. The event featured inspiring speeches highlighting the significance of the day; followed by the national songs performed by NIMA researchers. The festivities culminate at the cake cutting ceremony.
Prior to conclusion, the President of NIMA expressed his gratitude to the entire NIMA family for organizing such a nice event. He stressed upon youth that we need to study our history to develop a true understanding of two nation theory and its relevance with what is happening in our easten neighbourhood, especially with minorities due to religious extremism under Hindutva ideology. In Pakistan, as per Quaid-e-Azam speech, religious & cultural diversity is our strength. He also emphasised the use of social media with great prudence. He underlined the significance of setting goals in life: and do look after less privileged people in the society being our religious & social duty.
