KARACHI: The Consulate General of Malaysia in Karachi proudly commemorated the 67th Malaysia National Day with a Flag Hoisting Ceremony, exemplifying the spirit of unity and progress that Malaysia has achieved over the years. The event took place on 31 August 2024 at the Consulate General premises and was attended by students and other Malaysians residing in Karachi as well as esteemed friends of Malaysia.
The Flag Hoisting Ceremony was a remarkable display of national pride and solidarity, reflecting Malaysia’s journey towards prosperity, diversity, and harmony. The ceremony began with the resonant notes of the Malaysian national anthem, filling the air with patriotic fervor. The Consul General of Malaysia, H.E Herman Hardynata Ahmad, along with other guests, raised the Malaysian flag, symbolizing the nation’s triumphs and aspirations.
In his opening remarks, Consul General H.E Herman Hardynata Ahmad emphasized the significance of Malaysia National Day, reflecting upon the rich history and remarkable achievements that have shaped the nation. He underscored the Consulate General’s commitment to strengthening the bonds of friendship between Malaysia and Pakistan, two countries with deep historical ties.
The event was attended by students, Malaysian community residing in Karachi with their families and esteemed friends of Malaysia. The diverse attendance demonstrated the strong bilateral relations and people-to-people connections that Malaysia and Pakistan share. As part of the celebrations, attendees were treated to a feast of Malaysian delicacies, allowing them to savor the unique flavors of Malaysia.
