KARACHI: Mr. Chela Ram Kewlani Chairman Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP) and Abdul Rahim Janoo Group Chairman REAP holds the 16th Export Recognition ceremony of REAP on Saturday, 7th September, 2024 at the Sindh Governor House.
Mr. Chela Ram Kewlani, Chairman of the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP), along with members of the Managing Committee, hosted the 16th Export Recognition Ceremony and Silver Jubilee celebrations of REAP.
The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Kamran Khan Tessori, Governor of Sindh as the Chief Guest. The REAP Welcome tam included notable figures such as Mr. Abdul Rahim Janoo, Group Chairman and Convener of REAP’s Export Recognition Committee, Mr. Haseeb Ali Khan, Senior Vice Chairman; Faisal Malik, Javed Jillani, Mohibullah, Ali Deriwal.
Rice holds a vital position in Pakistan’s export portfolio, and 2023 has witnessed record-breaking growth in export volumes i.e $4 Billion contributing significantly to the country’s foreign exchange reserves.
Following brief speeches from the REAP leadership and the chief guest, the highlight of the evening was the award distribution ceremony, where leading rice exporters were recognized for their outstanding contributions to export growth.
The event concluded with a grand dinner with different types of biryani and qawwali providing a delightful end to a memorable celebration.
