Pine People Community Hosts Inaugural Meetup in Karachi, Celebrating Women’s Achievements and Empowerment

KARACHI: The Pine People Community proudly hosted its inaugural community meetup in Karachi, marking a significant milestone for its members who have been part of the network since 2019. Known as the “Friends of Pine,” these community members gathered to share their strengths and discuss contributions to the community and beyond.

The event was a jubilant celebration of the achievements of notable women, including Musarat Jabeen, Misha Irshad, Mahvish Mazhar, Hina Sohail, Ambreen Kokab, Ghinna Khan, Farah Kanwar, and Vanessa Phoebe. New members, including Sana Omar Askari, Kinza Ejaaz, Maliha Rao, Shagufta Imam, and Madiha Latif, were welcomed into the community, sharing their experiences and exploring networking opportunities.

In conjunction with the meetup, the community hosted a follow-up event for Girl’s International Day to inspire the next generation of women. Ambreen Junaid and her daughter, Hina Sohail, and her daughter delivered powerful messages for this special occasion.

Panelist Kinza Ejaaz highlighted the importance of compliance and women’s roles in the workplace. Maliha Rao emphasized women’s liberation and the significance of mutual support through storytelling and talent showcasing. Madiha Latif offered insights into women working in rural areas, focusing on sustainability and resilience against domestic violence.

Jabeen Yaqoob discussed the supportive culture among women and how middle-class women can initiate businesses to inspire others to join the workforce. Erum Masood, Founder of the Pine People Community, applauded the women for being fearless and resilient storytellers in their professional and personal lives.

Over the past five years, the Pine People Community has cultivated a culture of respect, love, and support. Young men empowering women is a cornerstone of its strength. The community, with its mission to learn, lead, and live the dream, aims to celebrate entrepreneurship, small businesses, and innovation, making everyone feel included and valued.
