Classera and PTCL Signed an Agreement at Pakistan-Saudi Business Forum 2024 to Launch the National e-Taleem Portal

ISLAMABAD: In a monumental step towards educational innovation and digital transformation, Eng. Mohammad S. Almadani, CEO of Classera, and Syed Imran Ali, Chief Business Solutions Officer of PTCL, formalised an agreement to officially launch the National e-Taleem Portal at the Pakistan-Saudi Business Forum 2024. The signing took place in the presence of the Saudi Investment Minister HE Eng. Khalid Bin Abdul Aziz Al Falih and the Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, highlighting the significance of this initiative for both nations.

This collaboration is part of the Federal Government’s digitization program under the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (M/o FE&PT) in partnership with Classera and PTCL to modernise Pakistan’s education landscape by integrating advanced technology into the learning system, providing a robust digital platform for students, teachers, and educational institutions across the country.HP Classeasy’s suite of classroom management digital tools, developed with Classera, forms the foundation of this platform.

With a duration spanning three years and onboarding in-school students from class K-12 and also Out of Schools Children with Accelerated Learning Content, the e-Taleem platform has addressed the evolving needs of education in Pakistan. Leveraging cutting-edge technology, e-Taleem seeks to transcend traditional rote learning methods, fostering critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, and digital literacy among students.

M/o FE&PT, Classera, and PTCL’s collaboration began with the Tele school initiative, as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. It has since evolved as a mobile application offering educational content across six Over-The-Top (OTT) channels, free of charge.

The National e-Taleem portal is an evolution of Tele school which provides a more comprehensive approach to digital education.

At the heart of the solutions provided by Classera is HP Classeasy, The combination of HP’s technology with Classera’s e-learning platform brings an immersive, interactive learning environment that supports both students and educators. The National eTaleem Portal includes a Virtual Teachers Training Platform for continuous professional development. The portal promotes blended learning, combining online and offline modules to ensure education continuity, especially in areas with limited internet access, such as AJK and GB. By fostering digital literacy and enhancing teaching methods, the eTaleem Portal empowers students and educators, bridging the digital divide and improving the overall quality and resilience of Pakistan’s public education system. The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training is extending this portal at the national level.

Mohammad Almadani, Chief Executive Officer of Classera, which operates in over 40 countries, said his organization has started eTaleem to transform education using technology that addresses the national needs and local challenges across Pakistan.

● Virtual Teacher Training System: Providing professional development opportunities for educators, ensuring they are equipped with the latest pedagogical techniques and digital literacy skills.

● Content Management System: Facilitating creation and management of educational content, ensuring relevance and freshness.

● Analytics Dashboards: Offering real-time insights into learning outcomes and engagement metrics, empowering stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.

● Integration of Teleschool Mobile App: Enhancing accessibility by integrating Teleschool’s content delivery mechanisms into the e-Taleem platform.
