Pakistan Association of the Deaf hosts Breast Cancer Awareness Session for Deaf Women at The Hive

KARACHI: The Pakistan Association of the Deaf (PAD) successfully hosted a Breast Cancer Awareness Session for Deaf Women on Saturday, 26 October, 2024 at The Hive, Lucky One Mall, Karachi. The event focused on educating Deaf women about breast cancer, highlighting early detection, symptoms, prevention, and treatment options.

Ms. Misbah Khalid, renowned TV artist and director, was the Special Guest of Honor, while Dr. Rufina Soomro delivered an insightful keynote on breast cancer awareness.

Dr. Saira Bano, Patron of PAD, expertly led the event as Master of Ceremony, ensuring smooth communication in sign language for Deaf participants. Irfan Mumtaz, Chief Executive of PAD, was recognized for his outstanding contributions to advancing the rights and education of Deaf individuals in Pakistan.

This session is part of PAD’s ongoing mission to empower Deaf women through vital health information and promote inclusive healthcare access.
