DUBAI: On October 26, 2024, the World Memon Organisation (WMO) Global Ladies Wing Middle East Chapter hosted a heartwarming brunch event at the residence of Zeenat Yasin Merchant, GLW Regional Ladies Chair – Middle East Chapter. The gathering brought together over 60 ladies, including young teenagers, for a day of social interaction and health education.
The event commenced with a serene recitation of the Holy Quran by a young child, Arash. The focus then shifted to breast cancer awareness, with a captivating talk by the esteemed Dr. Sumera Haque, who served as the Group Chief Medical Officer of Sheikh Khalifa Hospitals in the UAE.
Dr. Haque emphasized the importance of holistic wellness, encompassing physical, mental, and social health. She shed light on the significance of early detection and prevention of breast cancer and cervical cancer, empowering attendees with crucial knowledge.
The brunch provided an opportunity for participants to enjoy delicious food while engaging in meaningful conversations about health, well-being, and community support. The event fostered a sense of camaraderie and inspired attendees to take proactive steps towards a healthier lifestyle.
