DUBAI: As part of an initiative aimed at providing a range of services and facilities to support and empower Emirati publishers, in collaboration with The Emirates Publishers Association, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts Group (IHG) has granted exclusive benefits at its hotels worldwide to the Association’s members.
This initiative intends to provide members of the Association with the opportunity to benefit from the discounts offered by this prestigious hospitality group on accommodation rates at its 6,500 properties worldwide, when travelling abroad – whether for business or leisure travel. Additionally, members can enrol in the group’s rewards programme to earn points for each stay.
His Excellency Rashid Al Kous, Executive Director of the Emirates Publishers Association, commended this initiative, which he believes will help reduce costs for the Association’s members when travelling to participate in book fairs and cultural events within the global publishing community.
He said, “We are delighted to collaborate with the IHG Hotels & Resorts to support our publishers. This initiative will encourage them to enhance their presence at book fairs and cultural events around the world.”
He highlighted that this collaboration between the Emirates Publishers Association and the international hotel group underscores the Association’s commitment to sustaining the publishing industry and bolstering the UAE’s creative economy. By fostering strategic relationships with both government and private entities, the Association aims to empower the book industry and support innovative projects.
