DUBAI: Union Coop, in collaboration with Pampers, launched a campaign dedicated to raising awareness about supporting premature babies and their families in the UAE. This initiative was part of both parties’ commitment to delivering community-driven programs aimed at ensuring the well-being of all premature babies who require additional care. The campaign emphasized that every purchase made by customers contributed to the cause of generating essential resources for premature babies.

Coinciding with World Prematurity Day on November 17, 2024, the campaign aimed to increase awareness of the challenges faced by premature babies and their families. Union Coop and Pampers proactively worked together to ensure that these babies receive the care they deserve.

As part of this initiative, Pampers will donate AED 110,000 to the Al Jalila Foundation in Dubai to support premature births. The donation will be used to raise awareness and educate the public about premature births. Additionally, Pampers had set up a special display at Union Coop branches featuring an illuminated glass cube styled like an exhibition, with motivational messages engraved on each side. This display is designed to educate the community about the special needs of premature babies. The campaign also includes inviting influencers to visit the display at Union Coop branches to raise awareness about premature birth ahead of World Prematurity Day, as well as distributing flyers highlighting the challenges faced by premature babies and their parents.

Dr. Suhail Al Bastaki, Chief Community Relations Officer at Union Coop, stated that the cooperative has prioritized in its annual plans the launch of CSR initiatives aimed at supporting various segments of society. This campaign is part of these initiatives, focusing on preterm infants and supporting their families during the treatment period. He highlighted the importance of the campaign, which was organized in collaboration with Pampers in the cooperative’s branches, to raise awareness of preterm infants and support them in contributing to the creation of a healthier and stronger society.

Mr. Hossam Nassef, Sr. Director of Pampers stated, “This World Prematurity Day, Pampers continue to help raise awareness of preterm birth and the concerns of preterm babies and their families. We are deeply committed to supporting all babies and their families, particularly those who face the unique challenges of premature birth. This campaign in UAE is a testament to our dedication to providing the best care and raising awareness about the needs of preemies. We are pleased to collaborate with Al Jalila Foundation, Union Coop UAE, and our esteemed partners to make a meaningful impact.”
