DUBAI/KARACHI: Karachi International Book Fair (KIBF), Pakistan’s largest annual book exhibition, kicked off with an inaugural ceremony at the Karachi Expo Centre. The event, attended by students, scholars, academicians and book lovers from all over metropolis, witnessed a moment of pride when Nasir R. Zaidi, Founder & President of Pakistan Academic Consortium and ED/Chairman BOGs of The Elixir School, was conferred upon with Acknowledgement Award by Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and Syed Sardar Ali Shah, Provincial Minister for Culture, Tourism, Education, Antiquities & Archives in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the education sector.
Since its inception in 2005, the Karachi International Book Fair (KIBF) has grown into a cultural phenomenon attracting an increasing number of visitors each year. Organized by the Pakistan Publishers and Book Sellers Association (PPBSA), the fair has become a significant platform for promoting literacy and fostering a love for books. This year, organizers anticipate a record-breaking turnout with thousands of book enthusiasts and students expected to flock to the venue for author signings, book bargains and cultural events.
