KARACHI: On the occasion of member of Georgia Assembly Farooq Mughal’s visit to Pakistan, an important meeting was held under the chairmanship of USA Business Council FPCCI Chairman Shaikh Imtiaz Hussain to discuss business development between US and Pakistan All the office bearers and members praised Farooq Mughal for his services to overseas Pakistanis and his initiative to promote the Pakistani economy.

Farooq Mughal, a member of the Georgian Parliament, belongs to the Sindh province of Pakistan, so he played an important role in getting a resolution passed by the Parliament to make Sindh province and the US city of Georgia a twin city Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Pak-US Business Council FPCCI Shaikh Imtiaz Hussain said that the Pakistani business community welcomes Member of Parliament Farooq Mughal to Pakistan. He said that the business communities of Pakistan and the United States play an important role in bilateral trade relations.

The two countries have deep trade ties in sectors like textiles, IT, agriculture and pharmaceuticals. Shaikh Imtiaz Hussain said that Pakistani businessmen are looking for opportunities for their products in the US market, while American companies are promoting investment and partnership in Pakistan’s growing economy, for which trade exhibitions, business conferences and bilateral agreements are proving to be helpful in bringing the economies of both countries closer. This cooperation not only provides economic benefits but also further strengthens the relations between the two Nations.

He said that special attention is being paid to adapting Pakistani products to international standards and working on branding so that the confidence of American consumers can be increased. Shaikh Imtiaz Hussain said that Farooq Mughal’s efforts are paving new paths for the development of education, health and business sectors for Pakistanis.He thanked Farooq Mughal and reiterated the importance of joint efforts to promote mutual trade.

On the occasion of the meeting, Senior Vice President FPCCI Saqib Fayyaz Magoon and Vice President Muhammad Aman Paracha also attended and assured their full cooperation, while they also emphasized that agreements should be made for the B2B meeting And the high-level trade delegation from Pakistan to the US should include business people from all sectors so that every sectors can get development opportunities.

Georgia Parliament Member Farooq Mughal said that by establishing an Education City in Pakistan with the collaboration of US universities, it will be easier & economical for Pakistani students to get high quality education at domestic level. He said that there is a great demand for Pakistani marble, jewellery, carpets, furniture, sports & pharmaceutical goods, pink salt and other minerals products in the US.

Pakistani traders can improve the quality of their products and export them to other countries including the US, which will help stabilize the economy. Farooq Mughal said that trade relations between Pakistan and the US have a long history And the two countries have established business relations in various sectors and the United States is Pakistan’s largest trading partner and Pakistan exports cotton, rice, garments and leather products to the United States, while the United States provides Pakistan with machinery technology, chemicals and food items. Various agreements and measures have been taken to increase trade between the two countries, while more agreements are also under consideration.

Mr. Farooq Mughal, a member of the House of Representatives of Georgia, offered to facilitate Pakistani Businesses and stressed the importance of exporting new products to the United States and finding new business opportunities.
