This past weekend, the Fujairah Tennis Club hosted an exhilarating Friendly Round Robin Tennis Tournament, bringing together young athletes from Aramco, Dubai, and Fujairah for a dynamic showcase of talent, camaraderie, and sportsmanship. Spanning from Friday afternoon to Sunday midday, the event was a celebration of both competitive spirit and the joy of the game, offering an invaluable platform for rising stars to display their skills.
The tournament featured a competitive yet supportive atmosphere, with 8 players from Aramco, 8 from Dubai, and 7 from Fujairah, all competing in two distinct age categories: Under-10 and Above-10. The round-robin format allowed participants to compete in multiple matches, emphasizing growth and experience over mere victory. Kareem and Ahmed stood out as exceptional players, dominating their respective age groups and winning all their matches. Aramco’s contingent was commended for their discipline and impressive sportsmanship, while competitors from Dubai and Fujairah also shone through their passion and respect for the sport.
Spectators were treated to an electrifying series of rallies and hard-fought matches, with each game intensifying the palpable excitement around the courts. Over 60 spectators, including club members and local tennis enthusiasts, cheered with fervor, offering unwavering support to the young athletes.
