DUBAI: Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, highlighted the significance of Zayed Humanitarian Day as a national occasion that upholds the values of generosity, compassion, and philanthropy. It is a day to honour the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, whose humanitarian vision transcended borders and continues to inspire generations.
She said: “Zayed Humanitarian Day reflects the UAE’s enduring commitment to giving, a message of kindness that resonates worldwide. It is a tribute to a leader whose generosity reached far and wide, setting the foundation for a nation built on compassion, solidarity, and coexistence. Sheikh Zayed instilled in us the belief that true leadership is measured by service to others, and his legacy has been carried forward, shaping the UAE’s humanitarian efforts that extend across continents, touching countless lives.”
Her Highness emphasised that this day, observed on the 19th of Ramadan, deepens our collective responsibility to uphold Sheikh Zayed’s values, strengthening bonds between people regardless of background or nationality. “Humanity is at the heart of who we are as a nation. Our commitment to giving is not bound by geography but driven by a deep-rooted belief in making a difference, fostering understanding, and building a future where kindness leads the way.”
