American and Emirati Nationals Win US$1 Million in Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire Promotion

DUBAI: An American national and an Emirati national have been announced as the new dollar millionaires at the latest Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draw, held today at Concourse B of Dubai International Airport.

Ms. Tanaz C., an American national based in Houston, Texas became a US$1 million winner, in Millennium Millionaire Series 493 with ticket number 2912 which he purchased on 24th February in Concourse A East.

Ms. Tanaz is the 14th American national to have won the Millennium Millionaire promotion since 1999.

Given the time difference in the USA, she was unavailable for immediate comment, but will no doubt be surprised when she learns of her newfound fortune.

Joining Ms. Choudhury as a fellow US dollar millionaire is Mr. Ali Al Jaberi, a 62-year-old Emirati national based in Abu Dhabi who won in Millennium Millionaire Series 494 with ticket number 3659 which he purchased online on 5th March.

A regular participant in Dubai Duty Free’s promotion for 10 years now, Mr. Al Jaberi is a father of four and a retired engineer for ADNOC. “I’m very happy, many thanks to Dubai Duty Free!” he said.

Mr. Al Jaberi is the 16th Emirati national to have won US$1 million in the Millennium Millionaire promotion.

Today’s draw was conducted by Dubai Duty Free Managing Director, Ramesh Cidambi, Sinead El Sibai, SVP – Marketing, Mona Al Ali, SVP – HR, Michael Schmidt, SVP – Retail, Thankachan Varghese, Senior Manager – Retail Support, Salim Ibrahim, Senior Manager – Retail Sales, Mohamad Al Khaja, VP – Retail Support and Khalid Saleh, Senior Manager – Loss Prevention & Corporate Security.

Following the Millennium Millionaire draw, the Finest Surprise draw was conducted for two luxury cars, and one motorbikes.

Mr. Jamal Aziz Azmi, an Indian national based in Sharjah won a Mercedes Benz S500 (Black Paint Metallic) car with ticket number 0827 in the Finest Surprise Series 1913 which he purchased on 9th March in Terminal 2 Departure. Mr. Aziz Azmi is currently uncontactable, but will no doubt be delighted to learn of his win.

Mr. Swedi Athumani Kisokile, a 47-year-old Tanzanian national based in Dar es Salam won a Land Rover Defender 110 V8 HSE P525 (Santorini Black) car with ticket number 1253 in the Finest Surprise Series 1914 which he purchased on 10th March in Concourse B West on his way to Japan.

A lucky second ticket buyer, Mr. Kisokile is a father of four and works for Tanzanian government. “I’m so happy for this wonderful news! I can’t believe to have won this early with my only second ticket to your promotion, thank you so much Dubai Duty Free!” he said.

Lastly, Mr. Abdul Qudoos, a Pakistani national based in Ajman won a BMW S 1000 XR M Package (Light White) motorbike with ticket number 0195 in the Finest Surprise Series 617 which he purchased on 28th February in Terminal 2 Public Shop. Mr. Qudoos is also not available for immediate comment.
